Is this for real?
Check the liners on a warm engine without opening it, check all liners down to 1/100mm precision, consistently and precisely repeatable ... Yes, it is for real! It’s called the Electronic Liner Measurement (ELM) Service from CET-Hamburg.
Fast and definitive
Using the very latest laser and sensor technologies, we measure cylinder liners in large two stroke marine diesels with bores of 500mm and up. Thanks to a compact design and sophisticated algorithms, we gain access via the scavenge ports to the warm cylinder liner at temperatures of up to 100°C. Through sophisticated calibration, we measure with extremely high precision and reproducibility. We take over 400 measurements for each cylinder lining, which allows us to generate true vertical cross-sections across the length of the liner — usually in as little as one hour per liner.
The reality — worldwide
Our differentiated and continually improving analysis allows you to see the cylinder liner in its actual condition within the motor. You can see with your own eyes the effects of thermal deformation, worn oil grooves, leaking cylinder rings, and cold corrosion.
After only two measurements within a short interval, our trend analysis can measure the actual wear progression and forecast the remaining operating life of the liner. Improve your cylinder liner replacement rate, cylinder lubrication, and maintenance intervals — it’s all about lowering costs by leveraging facts.
We offer this service worldwide from our Hamburg location — at very affordable fixed prices.
